Our moving boxes are commercial-grade, which means they are built to hold up during long moves. Standard size options for our boxes start with small (12x12x12 inches) and reach extra-large (24x24x24 inches).
Double-walled construction with strong, crush-resistant edges is available on all boxes. For things like books that are heavy, we further secure the bottom seams by taping them. Items are listed and the room they need to be taken to on each box. For fragile objects, we use boxes that are separated by cardboard dividers. All boxes are nicely cleaned, dry, and do not contain pests.
Unlike other packings tapes, ours has an acrylic adhesive that doesn’t become crumbly over time. For boxes, the tape is usually 2 inches wide, but for rolling the furniture, we use 3-inch width. All boxes are taped on the bottom with H-tape and triple-sealed on top. Different colors on the tape make it clear which boxes are fragile (red) and belong to what category (blue is for kitchen). For any outdoor items, we make sure to use all-weather tape as it holds up in humid areas. They allow you to apply sticky tape in a clean and straight manner all the time.
Every piece of your fragile items is wrapped in 5mm bubble wrap using anti-pop protection. We choose the cushioning material depending on the piece of furniture we are working on. glass tables use foam sheets, hollow decor varieties use air pillows, and pack items with irregular sides using packing peanuts. Electronics are placed in stat-free wrapping to keep their circuits safe. Mirrors are secured with corner protectors and additionally taped in an X pattern to keep them in place. We make sure to only use brand new cushioning materials on every installation.
All furniture is wrapped in quilted blankets that have an anti-slip backside. Stretch wrap is better for locking drawers and doors instead of duct tape that can leave behind a sticky residue. Hard plastic guards placed in the corners stop the wood from getting damaged. Marble/granite uses non-slip rubberized mats to help with stability. Electronics get anti-static foam sleeves. The mattresses have full zippered covers made with waterproof material. We also have lamp boxes that use special internal suspension systems.
We make sure to use paper that doesn’t leave any stains on your items. The food is prepared by the chef using a folding style for each dish. Silverware bundles come with additional tissue around them. Between each frame in an artwork, we add interleaving paper made of glassine. Delicate clothes are wrapped in unprinted newsprint to make sure no ink comes off on them. We keep both lightweight and heavy-duty paper weights on hand for various reasons. All our paper is lint-free and gentle to the skin.
We can design crates that are perfect for any oddly-shaped object. Crates are made with 1/2″ plywood and have cushioning added inside. Rabbet joints are used because they make the corners resistant to pressure. Shock-absorbent foam is used to line glass objects. All crates are labeled with clear instructions andcome with “This Side Up” labels. We build ISPM-15 compliant crates made from heat-treated wood for international moving. Bands made of metal are applied to all crates where stress is most likely to affect them.
All the tools and materials used are in line with the international moving industry standards. We conduct monthly supplier audits. Employees are trained with new materials every three months.
